Founded in 2020 by Ladarius “Tank” Hawthorne, M.A.P Training was born out of a deep passion for athletic development and a calling to mentor the next generation. After years as a competitive athlete, I recognized a gap in performance coaching — especially for young athletes who needed more than just drills. They needed guidance, discipline, and someone who believed in their full potential.
M.A.P stands for Marathon Athletic Performance Training and also stands “Motivation, Accountability, and Purpose” — the three pillars that shaped my journey and now define every training session. What started as a few workouts in Simpsonville, South Carolina quickly grew into a movement, attracting athletes of all ages seeking speed, strength, agility, and mental toughness.
But M.A.P Training isn’t just about physical performance. It’s about building leaders, instilling confidence, and creating a culture where athletes thrive on and off the field. Whether it’s a one-on-one session, a group workout, or a mentorship moment, every interaction is rooted in purpose.

As the founder of M.A.P Training, I’ve dedicated my life to helping athletes unlock their full potential—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I believe in pushing limits while building confidence, and I take pride in creating an environment where growth is not just expected—it’s inevitable.

Before I was a coach, I was a competitor. My athletic journey shaped the foundation of who I am today. From early mornings on the field to late nights in the gym, I lived the grind. I know what it takes to perform under pressure, to overcome setbacks, and to chase excellence. That firsthand experience fuels my ability to connect with athletes—not just as a trainer, but as someone who’s walked the same path. I bring that intensity and insight into every session, helping others rise to their moment.

Off the field, I’m a proud husband and father. My family is my anchor and my inspiration. They remind me daily why I strive for greatness—not just in my career, but in character. Being a father has taught me patience, empathy, and the power of example. I carry those lessons into my work, knowing that every athlete I train is someone’s child, someone’s future. I lead with integrity because I want my children to see what it means to live with purpose.
