    Our Mission

    At Marathon Athletic Performance Training LLC, the mission is to elevate athletes' fundamental skill sets and overall athletic ability. I believe in training that focuses on both physical and mental aspects to prepare athletes for competitive levels. I don’t just train athletes — I strive to  build leaders. My mission is to develop the total athlete through elite performance training, spiritual mentorship, and community impact. Whether you’re chasing a scholarship, a personal best, or a deeper sense of purpose, MAP Training is your launchpad to run a marathon to all your personal goals in the sports world!

    About M.A.P Training

    Founded in 2020 by Ladarius “Tank” Hawthorne, M.A.P Training was born out of a deep passion for athletic development and a calling to mentor the next generation. After years as a competitive athlete, I recognized a gap in performance coaching — especially for young athletes who needed more than just drills. They needed guidance, discipline, and someone who believed in their full potential.


    M.A.P stands for Marathon Athletic Performance Training and also stands “Motivation, Accountability, and Purpose” — the three pillars that shaped my journey and now define every training session. What started as a few workouts in Simpsonville, South Carolina quickly grew into a movement, attracting athletes of all ages seeking speed, strength, agility, and mental toughness.


    But M.A.P Training isn’t just about physical performance. It’s about building leaders, instilling confidence, and creating a culture where athletes thrive on and off the field. Whether it’s a one-on-one session, a group workout, or a mentorship moment, every interaction is rooted in purpose.


    Today, M.A.P Training continues to expand — through local coaching, digital content, branded apparel, and a growing community of athletes who train with heart and hustle.

    As the founder of M.A.P Training, I’ve dedicated my life to helping athletes unlock their full potential—physically, mentally, and emotionally. My training philosophy is rooted in discipline, consistency, and individualized development. Whether it’s speed, agility, strength, or mental toughness, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every athlete I work with. I believe in pushing limits while building confidence, and I take pride in creating an environment where growth is not just expected—it’s inevitable.


    The Mentor

    Beyond sets and reps, I’m a mentor. I believe in developing the whole athlete—mind, body, and spirit. I challenge young people to think bigger, dream bolder, and act with intention. Whether it’s guiding them through adversity or celebrating their wins, I’m committed to being a steady presence in their journey. My goal isn’t just to build better athletes—it’s to help shape better leaders, teammates, and human beings.


    The Former Athlete

    Before I was a coach, I was a competitor. My athletic journey shaped the foundation of who I am today. From early mornings on the field to late nights in the gym, I lived the grind. I know what it takes to perform under pressure, to overcome setbacks, and to chase excellence. That firsthand experience fuels my ability to connect with athletes—not just as a trainer, but as someone who’s walked the same path. I bring that intensity and insight into every session, helping others rise to their moment.

    The Husband and Father

    Off the field, I’m a proud husband and father. My family is my anchor and my inspiration. They remind me daily why I strive for greatness—not just in my career, but in character. Being a father has taught me patience, empathy, and the power of example. I carry those lessons into my work, knowing that every athlete I train is someone’s child, someone’s future. I lead with integrity because I want my children to see what it means to live with purpose.

    M.A.P Training delivers high-level coaching for athletes of all ages in the Simpsonville/Greenville area. Services include 1-on-1 and group training, youth development, team consulting, events, and mentorship — all designed to build speed, strength, agility, and character. Sessions are flexible and held at private or public locations.

    Our one-on-one training delivers sport-specific strength, core stability, and injury prevention.

    1-on-1 Performance Training

    $50.00 per visit/ $40.00 per visit if multiple times a month

    Outdoor Small Group Training

    $20.00 Per Athlete

    • Acceleration & Deceleration Drills: Improve burst, control, and change of direction
    • Footwork & Reaction Training: Enhance coordination, balance, and quickness
    • Lateral Movement & Plyometrics: Build explosive power and multidirectional speed
    • Competitive Challenges: Push athletes to lead, support, and elevate each other
    • Form Correction & Feedback: Individual attention within a group setting

    Indoor Small Group Training

    $25.00 per athlete

    • Speed & Agility Drills: Cone work, ladder drills, and resistance training to sharpen footwork and explosiveness.
    • Strength & Conditioning: Bodyweight, resistance band, and equipment-based exercises tailored to age and sport.
    • Core & Stability Work: Improve balance, injury prevention, and functional movement.
    • Competitive Challenges: Group-based exercises that build camaraderie and push athletes to lead.
